Holy Eucharist
Holy Eucharist is the central act of Sunday worship at St. Stephen’s. Rite I is a quiet, traditional-language service at 8:00 AM without music. Christian Education for adults and youth meets at 9:15 AM. Choral Eucharist Rite II is at 10:30 AM, sung by the parish choir and livestreamed. The 10:30 service is Rite II (more contemporary language), except during the penitential seasons of Lent and Advent, when we use Rite I traditional language. The Healing Service
A midweek service of Holy Eucharist with prayers for healing, the laying on of hands, and anointing with oil, held every Tuesday at 11:30 AM in St. Alban’s Chapel. It takes about half an hour and is kept each week in commemoration of a saint. See The Healing Service.
The Celtic Service
A quieter evening liturgy on the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 PM: candle light, sung and spoken prayer, scripture, generous silence, and Holy Eucharist. It lasts about an hour and is livestreamed. The location alternates among local churches. See The Celtic Service.
Morning Prayer
The Daily Office is the church’s pattern of prayer through the day, and Morning Prayer resources are published for following along at home, with the liturgical day, the appointed psalms and lessons, and the collect. See Morning Prayer.
Feast & Holy Days
Beyond the weekly rhythm the parish keeps the wider Christian year: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and the Season after Pentecost, with added services for the great days. See Feast & Holy Days.
Bulletins and Livestream
The worship bulletin carries the readings, hymns, prayers, and the names of those serving. Current and archived bulletins are on the Worship Bulletins page. Sunday services are livestreamed and kept on the parish YouTube channel.
